Corinna Buchholz is a historian, traveler, artist and mama who started collecting vintage bits and traveling to archives as a teenager. Now, nearly 100,000 images later, the piddix archives—named after her home city of Portland, Oregon (P-D-X)—carries an incredible array of vintage, retro, and historically inspired designs available for licensing on all kinds of products including greeting cards, home decor, wall art, and more.
With a full-sized scanner in her backpack and a camera in her hand, Corinna has personally visited or scanned images from 153 archives around the world (and counting). The piddix collection is especially strong in vintage florals, retro patterns, mid-century Christmas images, and travel posters. Corinna personally researches every piddix image with a team of lawyers to ensure it’s 100% safe to use commercially worldwide, then scans, restores, and often incorporates the exquisite ephemera into new, trend-forward artwork.
